Error..call your admin, uninstall..call your admin..erm, but I am! #AdobeAIR

I wasn't able to run an AIR app recently, so I checked for an AIR update; when I downloaded it and tried to install it, I got an error about me not being an admin and that I should call the admin.

I then resorted to uninstalling my Adobe AIR by using the Adobe AIR Uninstaller (duh!) found in Applications/Utilities but I still got the same error after running it!

Consequently, after browsing through Adobe's support forums, I found nothing; then in like the tenth post of a forum ( can't remember which ), I found something that I tweaked a bit that finally worked!

So this is what I did:

  1. Open Terminal
  2. cd /Library/Frameworks
  3. ls
  4. sudo rm -R "Adobe AIR.framework"
  5. Quit the Terminal
  6. Run the Adobe AIR Installer
